Mountain Modern Retreat 

Nestled in the heart of Canmore, Alberta, Mountain Modern Retreat was designed as a warm and welcoming escape from city life — a place where our clients could slow down, gather with family, and take in the beauty of the surrounding mountain landscape. While this newly built condominium offered a clean architectural foundation, the goal was to transform the space into something that felt layered, personal, and deeply reflective of how the clients live and entertain.

With limited opportunities for structural customization during the initial build phase, our team focused on enhancing the functionality and character of the home through thoughtful detailing, custom millwork, and carefully curated furnishings. Once possession was taken, we designed a series of bespoke millwork moments that elevated both the practicality and aesthetic of the space. In the dining area, a custom banquette was introduced to create a more casual and intimate gathering space — perfect for relaxed family dinners, game nights, morning coffee, or even a quiet place to work while taking in the mountain views. A multifunctional office was also customized with built-in millwork and integrated storage solutions, allowing the room to seamlessly transition between workspace and guest retreat.

Throughout the home, layers of texture, soft tonal contrasts, and our signature mix of styles were used to create a refined yet approachable atmosphere. Warm woods, rich textiles, earthy tones, tailored upholstery, wallpaper, curated artwork, and custom window coverings all work together to bring a sense of comfort and quiet luxury to the interiors. Vintage-inspired details and sculptural accents add soul and personality, while the overall palette was intentionally kept grounded and organic to complement the surrounding natural landscape.

The end result is a sophisticated mountain getaway that feels both elevated and effortless — a modern retreat designed for connection, comfort, and timeless living.
