Set against the natural beauty of the foothills just outside Calgary, this home was envisioned as a warm and inviting retreat for a busy family looking to escape the pace of city life. From the earliest planning stages, our team was brought on to guide the project from concept through to completion—overseeing the build, finish selections, and ultimately the furnishing and styling of the home to ensure a cohesive and intentional design throughout.

The design direction was rooted in a rustic aesthetic, but approached through a more refined and modern lens. The goal was to create a space that felt grounded and connected to its surroundings, while still maintaining a sense of sophistication and ease. A palette of warm browns, soft neutrals, rustic metals, and richly layered textures establishes a sense of calm and comfort, while thoughtful material selections add depth and character.

In the kitchen, natural stone becomes a defining feature—bringing warmth, movement, and an organic quality that anchors the space. This materiality carries throughout the home, paired with wood detailing and tactile finishes that create a seamless connection between rooms.
