Friday Favourites

Happy Friday, design lovers! This week we’ve been feeling this super moody palette that packs enough punch to create a bold statement yet is subtle enough to feel like a timeless charm.

Aly is obsessing over  this Kopra Burst light from David Weeks Studio. The light centers around a cluster of Boi shades, similar to the Kopra Cluster. The arms of the shades expand from its central column with varying lengths to give the illusion of a burst of light. Each shade rotates 320 degrees allowing for greater flexibility and a charm unique to each individual fixture.

Katie is drooling over this Dang Credenza from Blu Dot. This credenza combines both style and function with its one door, three drawer system, all painted in this beautiful marine blue. The perfect place to hold odds and ends, display your TV, or showcase a stunning artwork. A unique take on a common form.

Benjamin can’t get enough of this Elis Armchair designed by DelightFULL for Milia Shop. Described as having a tropical rhythm this armchair incorporates an unpredictable strength. While its darkness from the dark grey leather adds a luxury touch, the inspiration behind has a much lighter touch: the notes of the Bossa Nova Swing. The sunny feeling you get while sitting in this chair should be the same as you walk down the Copacabana Strip. How could you not love that!?

Brittany loves these Kubus Bowls from By Lassen. These bowls are based on original sketches by Mogens Lassen, featuring elements evocative of the Bauhaus school, one of Mogens Lassen’s primary inspirations. Perfect for plants, fruits and even candy, these countertop bowls are the epitome of style and we can’t get over how cute they are!

Kristy is digging this Salon Rug from Serena & Lily. The inspiration for this rug actually comes from a painting that Serena did; an evocative mixture of shapes that look good from every angle and beautiful hues that create an unexpected neutral delight. Perfect for those people who crave excitement in design, but like to stick to a more neutral palette.
