Friday Favourites

Happy Friday, design lovers, and happy May! This week we’ve been feeling super inspired by simple, glamorous design, and are very excited about this week’s top five Friday faves.

Brittany is obsessed with these Rattan Plant Stands from Anthropology. A killer way to make a statement in any room of the house; entryway, living room, dining room, even bathroom. A nod to that ever-trendy Californian charm that the AVD team can’t help but drool over.

Speaking of drooling, Aly is drooling over this stunning Luca Chandelier by Fiona McDonald. Inspired by 1950s Italian Design, this shimmering dome of light is truly breathtaking, and would make an incredible statement in a foyer or bathroom. Love!

Kristy can’t get over how pretty this Lure Chandelier is from Pelle. A gorgeous brass fixture featuring pretty little white flowers adorning the geometric structure making it feel like an industrial organic masterpiece. A true statement piece, that is an incredible piece of art.

Katie loves this beautiful Welded Steel Black Frame Woven Hoop Circle Chair from SonadoraStudio. A new take on the classic Hoop Chair; a concept that has been around for decades and has been interpreted by many different designers. A throwback to mid-century design, with a modern twist.

Benjamin digs the simplicity of this Smed Mint Stool from Great Dane. Interestingly enough, the name ‘Smed’ means blacksmith which refers to something a craftsman might make for his own home, with what he might find lying around his workshop. The stool consists of a powder coated steel frame and cork seat which makes it both comfortable and stylish.
